Archive for Petaluma

Thank you to all the Artists & Farmers of Petaluma.

We planted seeds, tapped our feet, sculpted clay and stomped in mud.
Sipped on drink, sampled squash, printed posters and took photo op’s.
Neighbors and friends came together in celebration of Petaluma’s
artists and farmers and the life they lead.
Thanks to all who set-up, showed up and kicked their feet up –
making the first annual Artists & Farmers [...]

Petaluma’s Artists&Farmers

Pitchforks, tractors and hay bales.
Paintbrushes, video cam’s and laptops.
From dirt to digital art, Petaluma lies precisely
at the intersection of agriculture & creativity.
ProjectHERE wishes to celebrate Petaluma’s
Artists & Farmers recognizing them as cornerstones
to what it means to live HERE.

Green String Affair

We went with friends and family out to the Green String Farm last week with a picnic in hand.
If you haven’t been out there yet, go today, it’s magical.

We need a new mode

We need to rethink how we move around in Petaluma.
Our geography is perfectly suited for bicycle transportation. What if we move beyond recreational and sport cycling and start using bicycles for food delivery, grocery shopping, trips to the hardware store and more. Our friends at Madsen have the right idea, now we just need to [...]

Made Here Found Here In The Works

Well the Made Here Found Here event spawned the need for an online version of all the fantastic things we found in Petaluma.
The BETA site is now up and we are actively searching for suggestions about businesses we’ve missed.
Please forward any ideas our way.

Fine Print

Tim McSweeney has continually wowed us with his design and illustration skills. This Petaluma-based artist has provided us with a new set of hand-drawn hand screen printed posters. Tim adds his name to an ongoing list of very talented people that call Petaluma home. If you would like a copy of one these to call [...]

Look what we FOUND.

Not only is Petaluma a great place to live, it is a great place to shop.
We found some incredibly creative, whimsical, unique and useful items—
many of which are made right here in our own backyard.

Tasty-Cheap-Eats

Making it work locally is what projectHERE is all about.
On the topic of tasty-cheap-eats, it makes sense to seek council from the “masters” themselves.
So, we posed this question to local chefs and culinary foodies:
What meal would you prepare for about $2 per person?
Over the coming weeks we’ll share their answers and welcome your recipes as [...]

IN SEARCH OF:

We are looking for the people that best represent the spirit of Petaluma.
As you read this you’ve probably thought of 2 or 3 right off the bat, those are the people we would like to talk to.
projectHERE will be displaying 30-50 portraits and stories of local personalities and their stories of why they live HERE, [...]

Door2Door Volume One

What do you get when you take a camera and go door-to-door in Petaluma?
A very clear picture of a truly eclectic, creative town.
We want to thank everyone that submitted a photo to Volume One of the Door2Door event. We would also like to thank John and Anne-laure for supplying the AQUS Cafe for the evening, [...]
